Ingredients
| 2 c | sugar | |
| 1 c | shortening | |
| 1 c | molasses | |
| 2 ea | egg | |
| 1 T | vinegar, white | |
| 1 t | salt | |
| 1 T | ginger | |
| 1 T | cinnamon | |
| 3 t | baking soda | |
| 5 c | flour, white |
Directions
1) Mix/cream sugar and shortening together 2) Add and beat the eggs and molasses, blending well 3) Add vinegar, salt, ginger, cinnamon, then flour and mix until it makes a stiff dough 4) Roll into balls, roll tops of balls in sugar and put onto greased cookie sheet - do not flatten 5) Bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees
