Preheat the oven to 425° F - Mix flour, salt, and shortening until crumbled into pea-sized pieces. - Add 4 or 5 Tablespoons of water. - Mix with fork to start, then knead with hands until firm (do not over-mix, as this will make the dough tough). - Poke holes in the top of the crust and along the walls to prevent bubbling. - Sprinkle sugar and cinnamon to desired consistency on crust. Bake at 425° F for 7 or 8 minutes, possible longer depending on the pan you're using. Watch the crust and remove when it begins to reach a golden brown color. ---Put below into a recipe on its own at some point--- Apple Pie - 6 Cups of Apples - 1 Cup of Sugar - 2 Tablespoons of Flour (rounded Tbsp) - 1 teaspoon Cinnamon - Dash of Nutmeg - 2 Tablespoons of Butter placed on top of apples, below the top crust - Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of top crust
