Ingredients
3 lb Hormel spam
1 1/2 lb cheese, cheddar
1 1/2 lb Kraft Velveeta cheese
6 cn Chef Boyardee pizza sauce
6 lb browned with onion ground beef
4 t dried parsley flakes
3 t dried oregano
1 t salt
Directions
- Brown hamburger with a chopped onion and let cool before mixing with other ingredients.
- Using a hand operated grinder, consistently mix all solid (cheeses and meats) ingredients into a large mixing bowl.
- Add parsley, oregano, salt, and pizza sauce. Stir until all ingredients are consistent.
- Divide into individual, 1 pound (16 oz), air tight packages to be placed in the freezer.

- Remove packages from freezer one or two days before use and thaw in your refrigerator, DO NOT MICROWAVE, as this will burn or spoil the cheese in the mixture.
- Once thawed, preheat your oven to 400° F.
- Lay the desired number of buns opened on a cookie sheet and spread a 1/4 inch to 1/3 inch layer of mix on each half of bun.
**Note** These pizza burgers are eaten open-faced, so you won't be putting the buns back together after baking. Bake in the oven for 9-12 minutes at 400° F.
- Watch for the outer edge of the buns to turn a darker shade of brown. You don't want them to blacken and burn, but you also want the toppings to be thoroughly cooked, so find the balance. When you've decided they are ready, pull them out of the oven, leaving them sit for 2 or 3 minutes, then serve.
